It reminds me of a time when I invested far more energy into writing speeches and coaching public speakers.<br>No, it wasn&#8217;t all that long ago that I was more active in helping young people craft and present essays and speeches that won both awards and elections, and that&#8217;s likely the reason I miss it; it seems like only yesterday that I was still at it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These two students seemed particularly focused on the incumbent officer&#8217;s failures in office last school year. Both girls made some pretty interesting points about ways in which the current president had failed the student body, but they made few arguments to combat those shortcomings. The educator in me wanted to move back there into their circle and do some coaching, but the eavesdropper in me decided it was best to remain quietly amused at their banter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, I have my own education to think of now; I&#8217;m enrolling in school with a strong inclination to take up a degree course in communications with speech option. I like to tell people that I&#8217;m an eloquent speaker whenever others tell me I&#8217;m articulate. That&#8217;s the conceited ape in me.
