About two years ago, the battery stopped working altogether. As soon as I removed the power adapter, the laptop shut off. Now either the laptop or the battery has decided (yes, on its own) to work again. Since I&#8217;ve started running Ubuntu on this old tanker, battery life has improved. I can run this laptop \u2013 from which I&#8217;m now typing this post \u2013 for an hour or two before the battery indicator starts warning me it needs more juice. Ubuntu saved this old Dell Inspiron from extinction. I think it&#8217;s got its groove back! Any other computer resurrection stories out there? Weird? Strange? Odd? Even explainable?
